Tony Parker Net Worth
Tony Parker is a retired professional basketball player with a net worth of 85 million.
William Anthony Parker Jr., otherwise known as Tony, was born on May 17, 1982, in Bruges, Belgium, and was born in France.
His father played professional basketball abroad and his mother was a Dutch model.
Inspired by Michael Jordan in his youth, Tony developed his playing skills by playing basketball,
along with his father and his two brothers, who were heavily involved in the sport.
At the age of 15, he was asked to join the INSEP in Paris.
In 1999, after Parker played two seasons in the French Amateur League, he became a pro and signed a contract with Paris Basketball Racing.
After an amazing performance at the Nike Hoop Summit in Indianapolis in the summer of 2000,
Parker was the subject of a recruitment war at several colleges, including UCLA and Georgia Tech.
Instead Parker chose to stay in France with Paris basketball racing. A year later, he entered the 2001 NBA Draft.
Parker joined the NBA after being drafted as the 28th pick in the first round of the 2001 draft.
He became the starting point guard for the San Antonio Spurs and made 77 regular-season appearances in his rookie season.
He became only the third French player to play in an NBA game in November 2001.
Parker won his first NBA Championship ring after the Spurs defeated the New Jersey Nets in the post-season final.
Parker won four NBA Championships with Spurs in 2003, 2005, 2007 (also renamed NVP the same year) and 2014.
