Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard is an anomaly in the trendy NBA:

A star who has stayed with the same team his entire profession.

This weekend, Lillard raised some eyebrows with his comments on the shortage of belief from players in the league.

"Something that's ignoring in our league, the devotion, the pride,

not just for the name on the back but the name on the front," Lillard said Saturday, via Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix.

Not surprisingly, this quote developed plenty of feedback from fans.

Some conformed with Lillard, but many quickly indicated that he was being balanced handsomely for his loyalty.

The annually All-Star just signed a two-year max stretching with Portland worth up to $122 million

That's on the shelter of his current four-year deal worth more additional than $176 million.
